Signing in with a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode instead of a password. It is stored on your device and, on Apple devices, synced through iCloud Keychain, so it works on your other iPhones, iPads and Macs too. It only ever works on aeuix sites and apps, and your password keeps working alongside it.
Add a passkey
The first time you sign in with your password on a device, we ask once: Sign in faster next time. Tap Add a passkey and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and you are done. Choose Not now and we will not ask again on that device.
To add one later, or on another device:
- Sign in the usual way, on the web or in the app.
- Open Settings and find Passkeys (in the app: More → Settings).
- Tap Add a passkey on this device and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
The passkey is named after the device it was made on. Tap the name to rename it.
Sign in with it
On the login page choose Sign in with a passkey, pick your aeuix passkey and confirm. No email or password to type.
Good to know
- One passkey per device is plenty; a synced passkey already covers your other Apple devices.
- Remove a passkey from Settings if you lose a device. Your password still signs you in.
- If a passkey stops working, remove it and add a fresh one, or sign in with your password and tell us.
