Sharing a file or folder with someone outside
Use the link icon on a file or folder (or Share folder in the toolbar) to create a share link. Anyone with the link can view and download what you shared, and a shared folder includes its sub-folders. They do not need an account.
Shared links in the Drive toolbar lists every link for your company. From there you can copy a link, switch it off (it stops working immediately and can be switched back on) or delete it.
Share links are for people you trust with the files. Anyone who receives the link can open it until you switch it off.
